What I've Been Doing--
I've been taking a bit of time off from a fast and furious writing schedule. It's the end of the semester crush and I needed a little time to recharge after the push to finish the novella draft. I've been trying to keep it mellow--pecking away at a short story and developing ideas for other projects.
I'm working through my gigantic To-Be-Read pile. I've read Steelheart (Brandon Sanderson), The Last Policeman (Ben H. Winters), this year's Hugo nominated short stories, more of Joe R. Lansdale's Drive-In series, and Red Claw (Philip Palmer). I've just started The Shining Girls (Lauren Beukes). I'm so inspired by all these amazing stories. My brain is happy.
I've been hitting Dragon Age again. I am telling myself this is my canon play-through, but I'm also self-aware enough to know that I'll probably run through it again after that. I may have to force myself to get into another title or two between now and early October when Inquisition is released.
I've also watched movies and TV and I have frittered away time on the internet. You know, the usual.
Play-time is just about over.
Today's big news is the last big push I need to get back to it. I love writing, but there's a special rush involved with seeing your work get out there. It inspires me to want to keep going, learning, and writing more. So--what is it?
